Morocco 2007
Late snow in the High Atlas stopped us reaching Imilchil on our usual high pass route, but what a bonus - 2 fantastic new pistes. The first followed a river bed fringed with a mass of spring flowers while the second was quite simply the best piste we have ever driven in the mountains. Clambering to the base of a 700m sheer rock face we twisted our way up a series of hairpins along an old Legionnaires piste to arrive at a hand hewn tunnel through the mountain - never tangle with a Legionnaire when he’s got pick in his hand !
We spent more time in the sand along the Algerian border than ever before and had the unique experience of having to remove a 1m long, hissing, monitor lizard from a guests engine bay - a true engine monitor !
