Tanezrouft Explorer, Algeria, November 2011

Algeria never fail to disappoint, this was our third expedition to the south. The new route taking us out to the edge of the Tanezrouft plain was superb - 1058 km off road ... very happy to get to the Abbalessa filling station. Mohamed shared the many secrets of the desert with us, from cooking a goat, hidden caves on mountainsides and fields of scattered flint tools and grind stones. Algeria has remained calm through out the Arab Spring and we received a warm welcome everywhere - usually with a cup of tea. We'll be back in 2012, join us and explore this amazing country with the only company with experience and a track record of traveling there.
