The Best Of West Africa

Mystical, vibrant, colourful and exciting – just some of the words that could be used to describe West Africa.

From the mud-built mosques in Mali, camel trekking on the edge of the Sahara, relaxing on palm lined beaches, colonial-era buildings in Senegal and humble thatched huts in villages throughout the region, West Africa has it all…

Coupled with the many natural attractions, mangrove swamps in Senegal, dense rainforest in Cameroon, Savanna plains, not to mention the great Sahara Desert -  there’s something for everyone.  And with these natural environments is an impressive range of wildlife, including flamingos and pelicans along the coasts of Mauritania and Senegal, and giraffe, elephants, hippos, roan, waterbuck and other antelope gathered in or around watering holes in Mali, Burkina, Niger and northern Cameroon.

However West Africa’s main attraction has to be it’s people and cultures.
