Pyrenees Explorer, Spain, August 2010

Back again for our second Pyrenees Explorer for 2010, just 2 weeks later. With the heat of the summer many of the flowers in the meadows were past their best but now famers with ancient scythes and hand rakes were busy making hay to see their cattle through the next long winter. This activity has been done for many years -in this timeless area of Europe. The mountain streams we swam in were a little warmer than 2 weeks before but the Mediterranean was the warmest by far - 20 little dusty rings on the surface where we all jumped in to wash the dust off ......
