Warm sun, warm hearts- forget all the negative hype. A great country with a great history, and some of the best desert driving in the Sahara. We crossed huge sand seas and dunes of 300m to relax at oasis lakes, explored forgotten caravan towns, the end points for so many trans-Saharan camel routes. Deep in the Jebel Acacus we found fantastic rock art from lost civilisations, while at Leptis Magna we clambered amonst one of the best preserved Roman sites in the world.
